Assad advisor: Syria’s and Jordan’s hearts still beat for each other
AMMONNEWS - Bashar Al-Assad’s media advisor, Buthaina Shaaban, said that “Syria’s and Jordan’s hearts still beat for each other and this reflects the Arab people’s longing for a reawakening and liberating project”.
Shaaban made these statements after a meeting she held with a Jordanian delegation that is currently visiting Damascus, and which is headed by Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Lawyers Union, Samih Khriss.
Shaaban said that the Jordanian delegation’s visit to Syria was “a healthy step”. She also stressed that “our future steps have to be well-thought out, and that we have to look at the future with optimism and this necessitates reading the events that our Arabic Umma went through with critical eyes, without repeating the mistakes of the past”.
She added that the “Western dominance is obviously declining and the rise of the East has become an inescapable reality” she went on, “the East will become an essential pole in this world and as Arabs we have to put solid foundations for our national liberation so that future generations build upon it.”
