Jordan takes part in Arab meeting on migration and refugees
AMMONNEWS - Jordan is taking part in meetings of the Arab Regional Consultative Process on Migration and Refugees Affairs that started at the headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Arab League in Cairo on Tuesday.
Jordan's delegation to the two-day meeting, which is attended by 16 Arab countries, is headed by Secretary General of the Interior Ministry Samir Mubaidin, who presented a working part on the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis on Jordan.
Mubaidin said that Jordan has received more that 1.4 million Syrian refugees, who are placing an increasing pressure on the kingdom's education, health, and labour sectors.
The secretary general also presented another paper on the entry of foreigners to the Kingdom and rules and regulations adopted in this regard.
