According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk at times.
Mercury levels will rise again on Friday. Therefore, it will be hot in Amman and the hilly areas and very hot in other parts of the Kingdom with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said.
Maximum temperatures for today in Amman will reach a high of 34 degrees Celsius and a low of 23. Mercury levels in Aqaba will jump to 42 degrees sliding to 29 at night, the department added.
