Firefighters put out grassland fire in northwestern Amman
AMMONNEWS - Firefighters assisted by military helicopters managed to put out a blaze that engulfed tens of donums of grass- and woodland in Al-Kamalyah, northwest of Amman.
The Civil Defense Department said there were no injuries and the damage was limited to woodland. It added that it took firefighters 3 hours to extinguish the fire because of strong winds and the mountainous nature of the area. Preliminary estimates suggest that the fire was caused by a short circuit.
