AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, on Sunday, told his Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim al-Jaafari, that Jordan is keen to maintain its ties with Iraq and doesn't accept any insult to Iraqi figures by anyone.
During a phone call, Al-Safadi said those who made individual acts, deemed offensive of national Iraqi figures, have been apprehended and will be tried according to the Kingdom's laws which prohibit insulting other countries.
The two ministers emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is strong and won't be affected by any individual acts that only represented those who did such acts.
They stressed that Jordan and Iraq will continue to strengthen cooperation and will stop anyone trying to harm bilateral ties.
