AMMONNEWS - British Prime minister Theresa May is set to arrive in Jordan on Monday to boost military cooperation with the kingdom in the fight against the Islamic State, official sources said.
In her first visit to the kingdom, May is expected to meet king Abdullah and top diplomats before announcing an aid package to train pilots in the air force to fight ISIS. British media said under the plans, training will be carried out in Jordan and the UK to help the Jordanian armed forces improve its capability to strike ISIS targets and defeat the terrorist threat.
She will then visit Saudi Arabia during the three-day trip, which will focus on strengthening trade and security ties as Britain prepares to quit the European Union.
