Public works minister, Arab fund discuss cooperation
AMMONNEWS - Minister of Public Works and Housing Sami Halasah on Thursday said that talks, to fund the last two sections of the first phase of Irbid Round Road, have been concluded with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).
In a statement, Halasah said the sections, which will be funded by the fund, were approved and the fund’s mission was briefed about all information, studies and statistics related to the new road, such as the number of vehicles expected to use the new road.
The minister added that the mission visited the city of Irbid to have a first-hand look at the project and its impact on the city.
Irbid Ring Road is expected to cost JD37 million and the funding procedures would be completed through the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
