Jordan enjoys attractive investment environment: Iraqi businessmen
AMMONNEWS - Iraqi investors and businessmen said Jordan enjoys an attractive investment environment in terms of laws and privileges granted to foreign investments as well as political stability and security, making the Kingdom a destination for Iraqi and Arab investments.
Head of the Iraqi Economic Council, Ibrahim Al Baghdadi Al Masoudi told Petra that the Jordanian Iraqi oil pipeline project constitutes an economic lifeline for the two countries, adding that a tender to build the pipeline has been awarded to two Chinese and Iraqi companies.
During an Iraqi Business Council meeting in Amman, Al Masoudi said the meeting between the Iraqi Economic Council and the Iraqi Business Council in Amman is part of the council's plan to communicate with the Iraqi councils outside Iraq, on top of them is the Iraqi Jordanian Business Council.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between Jordan and Iraq to serve the interests of both countries.
Participants in the meeting agreed to hold a conference this year in Amman between the Jordanian private sector and Iraqi businessmen, in order to discuss obstacles that face economic integration between the two countries, as well as providing opportunities for businessmen from both countries to establish investment partnerships.
