Qatari boy performs the Umrah by walking on his hands
AMMONNEWS - Qatari teenager Ghanim al-Muftah who was born with only a quarter of a body posted a video on Instagram showing him perform tawaf around the Kaaba while walking on his hands as he refused to use a wheelchair.
Muftah performed tawaf seven times following sunset prayers on Friday.
He thanked Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the chairman of the board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, for the warm reception and umrah arrangements and Imam of the Grand Mosque Sheikh Maher Al-Mueaqly for his prayers and praised King Salman’s efforts of looking after the two holy mosques.
Muftah has a while ago said he dreams of performing tawaf around the Kaaba on his hands. Prince Sultan bin Salman helped Muftah fulfill his dream and perform umrah as he personally followed up on the security measures needed to facilitate the movement of Muftah and his family members and assigned a team to receive them in Mecca and accompany them until they perform umrah.
The Qatari teenager also fulfilled his dream of kissing the black stone.
