Finance minister holds talks with U.S., IMF officials
AMMONNEWS - Minister of Finance, Omar Malhas, has held talks with U.S. and International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials on the sidelines of the IMF's and World Bank's meetings, held this month in Washington D.C.
The talks focused on Jordan's efforts economic and fiscal reform efforts as well as the Kingdom's financial needs, particularly budget's support. They also dealt with steps taken to reform custom fees and sales taxes, such as cancelling unnecessary tax exemptions.
