Russian helicopter shot down in Syria’s Idlib, killing all onboard
AMMONNEWS - Russia defense ministry says that in Syria Russian helicopter shot down in Idlib province, Moscow-based Interfax news agency reported on Monday.
Three crew members and two officers were reportedly on board the helicopter. The Kremlin released a statement saying all of them were killed.
The ministry was cited as saying that the helicopter, an Mi-8 military transport helicopter, had been shot down after delivering humanitarian aid to the city of Aleppo as it made its way back to Russia's main air base in Syria.
