Senate committee endorses Jordan Investment Fund Draft Law
AMMONNEWS - The Senate's Financial and Economic Committee endorsed the Jordan investment fund draft law for 2016 as referred from the Lower House of Parliament.
The bill was endorsed during a session chaired by Senate President Faisal Al Fayez and attended by Rapporteur of the committee Jawad Anani, Finance Minister Omar Malhas, Legislation and Opinion Bureau President Nofan Ajarmeh and Jordan Investment Commission President Thabet Al Wir.
In remarks during the session, Al Fayez hailed Jordan's distinguished ties with Arab Gulf states and described them as 'historic and strategic'.
He highlighted the need to institutionalize these brotherly ties through adopting A fixed political and economic strategy that would further boost cooperation between the two sides.
The draft bill Al Fayez said, is a major step towards institutionalizing relations between Jordan and Gulf states.
