Jordan condemns Israel for arresting Imam of Al Aqsa Mosque
AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian government on Friday condemned the Israeli occupation forces for detaining Imam of the Al Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Mohammed Saleem for hours following Friday prayer.
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawood told Petra that Jordan rejects and condemns the Israeli forces for arresting a religious man who was praying.
He also added that the arrest was a violation committed by the Israeli forces and an interference in the holy mosque's affairs, while reiterating that it also violated the international laws.
