AMMONNEWS - Jordan is ready to apply to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) for launching talks on a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), TASS reports citing the protocol of the third meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Jordanian Commission.
According to the document, Russia has informed the Jordanian side that as soon as the respective application is submitted, a joint research group will be set up for studying the feasibility of the agreement.
The group will consist of observers and experts on Jordan from the EEU member countries, with Russia, according to the paper, set to approve the application.
Also, the Russian side has repeatedly noted that Jordan has been included in the list of developing countries, which enjoy the EEU system of privileges.
