Army chief takes part in int'l conference to fight Daesh
AMMONNEWS - The King's Advisor for Military Affairs and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mashal Mohammad Al Zabin has taken part in NATO defense ministers meeting and a meeting of the international coalition to fight Daesh, which were held in Brussels.
Al Zabin delivered a speech at the conference, in which he highlighted the efforts exerted by Jordan as a member of the international coalition. He also spoke about the Kingdom's efforts to protect its northern borders, as well as the humanitarian services presented to the Syrian refugees.
The meeting, which brought together defense ministers from countries participating in the international coalition fighting Daesh terrorist group, discussed ways to intensify the efforts to fight Daesh in Iraq and Syria.
At the end of the event, the conferees issued a statement on the steps needed by member countries to boost their contribution to the global efforts to fight terrorism and terminate Daesh terrorist group.
While in Brussels, Gen. Al Zabin met with Saudi Arabia's Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defense Mohammed bin Salman as well as other defense ministers taking part in the meeting, where they discussed issues of common interest as well as the need to coordinate efforts and confront challenges facing the Kingdom.
