King departs for Germany to take part in Munich Security Conference
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday left for Germany to take part in the 52nd Munich Security Conference that kicks off on Friday with the participation of world leaders, defense ministers as well as international figures.
His Majesty will deliver a keynote address at the opening session that will focus on Jordan's stance on current issues, security challenges facing the Middle East, as well as ways of addressing these challenges.
The conference will discuss a number of security issues, namely the conflict in Syria as well as repercussions of the conflict in Syria on neighboring countries, Europe and the world.
The King will also meet on the sidelines of the conference with a number of leaders taking part in the conference for talks on bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as regent in the presence of cabinet members.
