AMMONNEWS - Relatively cold weather continues to prevail on Thursday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it is forecast to be mild in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with clouds at various altitudes and a chance of drizzle in the northern and western regions.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief that cold weather is expected at night in most areas of the country with frost formation over the hilly areas, the Badia and eastern plains. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to light.
A rise in temperatures is expected on Friday, but it will remain relatively cold in the mountainous areas, mild in the desert regions and plains, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, Aqaba and the Dead Sea with southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach a high of 13 degrees Celsius and a low of 5 degrees at night, in the central regions they will register a high of 10 degrees dropping down to 2 degree, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 21 degrees plunging to 11 degrees at night.
