AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Wednesday, said the Kingdom's northern borders are strong and secure and the Jordan Armed Forces/Arab Army and security agencies are capable of protecting the nation's frontiers.
The King spoke as he met with community leaders, tribal elders and public figures from the northeastern Mafraq governorate. During the meeting, His Majesty spoke about the recent donors conference in London and said the government, lawmakers and officials are required to work hand-in-hand to achieve maximum benefit of this conference and improve economic performance.
The King emphasized that the results of the conference were so positive, adding that the event opened doors for further support to the Kingdom and will help in developing the national economy and bring in foreign investments. King Abdullah underlined pressures being borne by the northeastern governorate since it hosts a major number of Syrian refugees in the Kingdom.
