King, Kosovo President discuss efforts to counter terrorism
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, Sunday evening discussed with the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, efforts to combat terrorism and radical ideologies that threaten regional and global security and stability.
During the meeting, which was attended by HRH Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, King Abdullah underscored the need for a concerted international efforts to counter terrorism and spread the message of true Islam that embraces the values of tolerance and moderation.
The meeting also tackled the latest regional and international efforts to find a political solution for the Syrian crisis, where His Majesty highlighted burdens being borne by Jordan as a result of hosting a massive influx of Syrian refugees, calling on international organizations and donors to provide more support to the Kingdom.
Kosovo President appreciated King Abdullah's efforts to achieve peace, security and stability in the region, highlighting Jordan's humanitarian role in hosting the largest number of Syrian refugees.
The meeting was also attended by Royal Court Chief, Fayez Tarawneh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh and the director of the King's Office Jafar Hassan.
