Judeh Absence of political solution is common challenge in Middle East
AMMONNEWS - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Tuesday, said the absence of a political solution, is the common challenge in the Middle East.
In a session held during the 2015 Jordan Expatriates Conference in the Dead Sea, Judeh noted that Jordan always confirms the importance of reaching a political solution with regard to challenges in the region, whether in Syria, Iraq, Yemen or Libya and calls for giving priority to dialogue to ensure the security and stability of these countries.
He pointed out to the great importance of the Palestinian cause to His Majesty King Abdullah II, adding that Jordan is an essential party with regard to final status issues, not a mediator or an observer.
He talked about the Hashemite guardianship of the holy sites and on the historical agreement signed between His Majesty King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in this regard.
With regard to the war on terrorism, Judeh highlighted Jordan's efforts in addressing extremism and terrorism, and confronting anyone who tries to distort the image of Islam.
Former Secretary-General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa participated in the session, which was moderated by Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt Bishr Khasawneh.
