AMMONNEWS - US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter is set to start a Middle East tour today that will take him to Israel, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
In Israel, the first leg of his regional tour, Carter will hold talks with Israeli officials on ways to address security challenges, such as confronting the Iranian activities that could destabilize the region as well as fighting terrorist attacks.
Carter will also travel to Saudi Arabia for talks with senior Saudi officials before leaving to Jordan for a meeting with key coalition partners who are currently participating in the battle against Daesh terrorist group.
