AMMONNEWS - French ambassador in Jordan said her country appreciates Jordan's steadfastness at the difficult time that beset the region, and praised Jordanians generosity in hosting refugees who came from war-torn countries.
The ambassador, Caroline Dumas, during a ceremony held at her residence on the occasion of her country's National day, recalled the national motto of France liberty, equality and fraternity, emphasizing that the ceremony reflects the strength of ties between France and Jordan. She referred to Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania's visit to France last September and described the visit as an 'opportunity' to exchange views on joint challenges with regard to major political issues for the world at large.
She said 'I am pleased to announce tonight the French government's approval to provide EUR150 million to support the Jordanian government' bringing the total aid to the Kingdom to EUR265 million.
