AMMONNEWS - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Emad Fakhouri on Monday discussed with Vice-Chairman of the World Bank for MENA Hafiz Ghanim bilateral cooperation between Jordan and the World Bank.
The meeting touched on the existing cooperation programs between the Kingdom and the World Bank, mainly providing technical assistance in doing business, poverty evaluation, public investment management and current structure evaluation as well as the public private partnership (PPP).
The minister affirmed that the World Bank support should result in better growth rates and improve Jordan’s ability to jobs, and thus cut unemployment and fight poverty.
The meeting also touched on the new development loan, which is designed to support the Kingdom’s budget.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the World Bank’s delegation participation at the World Economic Forum, which concluded two days ago in Jordan.
