Former Arab League chief praises Jordan as success story
AMMONNEWS - Former Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Mousa on Thursday praised Jordan as a success story in the wake of the Arab spring.
Addressing the annual meeting of the International Affairs Society, Mousa highlighted the achievements realized by Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty king Abdullah II.
During the meeting, which was attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammed Momani, Mousa also warned that the situation in the Arab world is far more serious that many think.
The former Arab League chief also affirmed that reform can not be achieved overnight, adding that it needs time and needs a lot of expertise and hard work.
He also urged the Middle Eastern countries to sit together and draw a map for the new Middle East and not wait for foreign powers to do the job.
