Kuwaiti military force leaves for Jordan for "Eager Lion '15" drill
AMMONNEWS - A Kuwaiti military force has flown to Jordan to participate in the
exercises of 'Eager Lion 2015' to be held on May 519.
These exercises are conducted routinely as planned by the Jordanian authorities, Kuwaiti Ministry of
Defense's Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations said in a press statement on Sunday.
The aim of the drill is to share expertise and information to increase combat efficiency of the
participating forces, it added.
The Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohammad Khaled AlKheder conveyed the greetings of
Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled AlJarrah AlSabah to the participating
force before its departure, the statement noted.
Kuwait will benefit from this participation, it stressed.
The Jordan Armed ForcesArab Army (JAF) had earlier said that around 10,000 military personnel
from Jordan, the US and several other countries are expected to participate in the 'Eager Lion
2015'.
The drill will be carried out by JAF in cooperation with the US army and with the participation of
Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, the UK,
France, Italy, Pakistan, Canada, Belgium, Poland, Australia and NATO.
