AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian-Thai Friendship Association will hold an exhibition in Amman on Sunday to display Thai products sold in the Kingdom.
The exhibition, which is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Thailand and the Thai Commercial Office in Jeddah, will be attended by Thai companies specializing in the garment, food stuffs, cosmetics and construction materials industries.
President of the Association Maher Shakhatrah said the exhibition, which will be opened by the head of the Senate's Jordanian-Thai Friendship Committee, will include bilateral meetings between a Thai trade delegation and Jordanian importers that will focus on developing increased cooperation and establishing partnerships between the two sides.
'Jordan and Thailand enjoy strong ties and are keen to further develop them in the economic and trade spheres, but the absence of agreements between the two countries limits that,' he said.
Shakhatrah noted that trade between Jordan and Thailand remains low, as Jordan's exports to the Asian nation stood at $28 million, while imports amounted to $225 million.
