AMMONNEWS - Jordan said Saturday common borders with Iraq were safe and open despite an attack against Turaibeel border crossing of Iraq, that killed one person and injured nine others, KUNA published.
Three booby-trapped cars were detonated at the Turaibeel crossing killing one person and injuring nine people.
The attack also caused technical failure, which forced half of traffic in the direction of the Jordanian Karama crossing, which was open and working as usual, the interior ministry said.
Eight of the injured people were taken to the clinic in the Karama crossing and have returned to Iraq following their treatment, it added.
The remaining two injured were taken to Ruwaished Hospital inside Jordan, where one of them died of his wounds and the other still being treated.
