AMMONNEWS - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs on Monday announced the evacuation of 130 Jordanian citizens from Yemen by land via Saudi territory, bringing the number of Jordanians evacuated in recent days to 287, the official spokeswoman in the ministry, Sabah Rafii, has confirmed.
She said His Majesty King Abdullah II directed the government to follow up on the condition of Jordanian citizens abroad, especially in Yemen under the prevailing circumstances.
A plan was formulated by the Foreign Ministry's operations center to secure the evacuation of all Jordanians in Yemen. The centre has been working round the clock in coordination with Jordan's embassy in Sanaa and the competent authorities, she added.
