King, Crown Prince receive congratulatory cables on 47th anniversary of Al Karama battle
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II received congratulatory cables on Saturday from senior civilian and military officials on the 47th anniversary of the Al Karama battle.
The King received cables from the Prime Minister, Senate president, Lower House speaker, Judicial Council president, Chief of the Royal Court, Constitutional Court president, the Chief Justice, the grand mufti of Jordan, the army chief and King's advisor for military affairs, the King's Advisor for National Security Affairs, Directors of the departments of general intelligence, public security, civil defence, the gendarmerie and the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans, as well as public figures.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II also received similar cables marking the anniversary from senior civil and military officials.
Those sending the cables highlighted the victory at the Al- Karama battle as an 'immortal event' led by the late King Hussein bin Talal and considered it a turning point in Jordan's history.
