House committee recommends lifting a number of MPs' immunity
AMMONNEWS - The Lower House legal committee held a meeting headed by MP Mustafa Amawi to check the letters forwarded by the Prime Minister, which demanded necessary legal actions to lift the immunity of a number of MPs in accordance with Article 86 of the constitution and article 147 of the rules of procedure of the House.
Amawi said that after the legal committee studied the inquiries referred by the Lower House Speaker the panel decided to file a recommendation to the House to lift the immunity of MPs.
Separately, the legal committee also approved the Information Systems Crimes Law and referred it to the Lower House.
