Middle East Payment Services Honours Partners at Gala Dinner
AMMONNEWS - Middle East Payment Services (MEPS)-a leading, innovative payment services provider in the Middle East-has held a gala dinner, at the Grand Hyatt Amman Hotel,in honour of itspartners from acrossvarious sectors. Held under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Trade, H.E.Hatem Al Halawani, the event was attended by several ministers,parliament members, as well as MEPSmanagersand employees.
In his welcoming speech, MEPS Chairman Dr. Abdul Malik Jaber explainedthat the event aims to celebrate and recognizeMEPS’ partnerswhoare at the forefront of the Company’s priorities,strategies and future aspirations. Furthermore, Dr. Jaber elaborated thatMEPS’ partners are a true reflection of the quality,efficiency and reliability of the payment services and products being offered by the Company.
“Over the years, you have proven to be great business partners and true pillars of support to MEPS, enabling us to deliver premium payment servicesthat are on par with top international standards. Recently, we have launched in the Jordanian marketVisa acceptance, collection and payment services, while continuing to extend MasterCard payment offerings. This noteworthy accomplishment would not have been possible without your ongoing support, which plays an instrumental role in helping us develop our operations and expand our client network,” said Dr. Jaber.
Dr. Jaber confirmed that MEPSwill be announcing the acceptance of other international payment cards, thus offering payment solutions to all card holders across the Kingdom. He went on to add that the fact that MEPS is owned by major Jordanian banks,whichconstitute around 60% of the local banking sector,givesboth the Company and its customers addedconfidence and actively contributes to the expansion of the range ofservices MEPSextends in collaboration with its banking partners. Dr. Jaberindicated that2015 will bring forth a number of pleasant surprises to MEPS’partners, merchants, cardholders and financial solutionsproviders, with the launch of pioneering services and programs.
