Parliament condemns French magazine for publishing anti-Prophet cartoons
AMMONNEWS - The Lower House of Parliament, on Sunday, condemned French Magazine 'Charlie Hebdo' over its publication of offensive cartoons of Prophet Mohamed (Peace be Upon Him) and called for the issuance of a law in cooperation with world parliaments to ban insulting messengers and religions.
What the magazine did was an act of extremism that would touch off violence and conflicts between the followers of the different religions and also run contrary to freedom of expression, the House said in a statement issued today.
