AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II received at Al Husseiniya Palace on Wednesday, the family of Gendarmerie martyr Corporal Ali Mohammad Ali Zreiqat, who passed away in Bahrain recently in the line of duty.
The King, in the presence of the Director General of the Gendarmerie Department, Major General Ahmad Al Sweilmiyeen, voiced pride in martyr Zreiqat and all members of the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies, some of whom fell martyrs in defense of the country or while performing their duties outside the Kingdom.
'Those martyrs truly represented the symbol of the Arab Army, the symbol of Arabism and sacrificed themselves in defense of the Arab and Islamic nation as well as the message of Islam,' he added.
The family of Zreiqat voiced thanks and appreciation for the King's gesture that reflected his keenness to reach out to all Jordanians and standing in solidarity with them at all times.
