UAE to make $3 billion investment in Jordan, says Ambassador
AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) received applications from various UAE bodies to make investments worth $3.3 billion in the Kingdom, 55 percent of such investments having been made in the first four months of this year while the rest were made last year, Jordan's Ambassador to the UAE, Nayef Al Zaidan, said.
The ambassador told Petra that these applications reflect investors' confidence in the Kingdom's economy and the success of the efforts made by His Majesty King Abdullah II to protect the economy from the repercussions of the crises in the region and the world.
He said the embassy was aware of its role to highlight the benefits of investing in Jordan in the light of the distinguished ties between the Kingdom and the UAE, which resulted in UAE investments exceeding $13 billion.
Al Zaidan added that the Jordanian Embassy in Abu Dhabi contacted major UAE companies and businessmen from various nationalities to acquaint them about the available investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
