AMMONNEWS - An 11-strong team from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons have been kidnapped while on a fact-finding mission in the central Syrian province of Hama, the country’s foreign ministry said on Tuesday , Alarabiya reported.
“Eleven people - five Syrian drivers and six other members of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons team who were on board two vehicles - have been kidnapped,” the ministry said, according to Agence France-Presse.
The team are investigating allegations that Syrian government forces used industrial grade chemical chlorine on a rebel-held village in Hama province last month.
