Interior Minister meets Qatari, Kuwaiti counterparts
AMMONNEWS - Interior Minister Hussein Majali met in the Moroccan city of Marrakech with Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifah Al Thani and Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 31st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, which concluded on Wednesday.
Majali reviewed with the Qatari prime minister bilateral ties, ways of further boosting them in various fields as well as challenges facing the region.
The two sides stressed the need to take all necessary measures to achieve Arab political, economic and social integration.
Majali affirmed Jordan ’s keenness to promote bilateral cooperation in the security field and in fighting terrorism and all forms of crime.
The minister also discussed with the Kuwaiti deputy prime minister the current situation in the region as well as ways of addressing challenges facing the Arab region in addition to the results of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council meeting.
He said Jordan was ready to provide expertise to the Kuwaiti side in various fields.
The Kuwaiti official voiced his country’s readiness to strengthen relations with Jordan and benefit from Jordan ’s experience in the security field.
