* Results of an investigation into the death of Jordanian judge at King Hussein crossing to be quickly passed to Amman.
AMMONNEWS- Israeli daily newspaper Time of Israel reported that Israel was making concerted diplomatic efforts Monday night to quell tensions with Jordan, after a Jordanian judge was shot dead at a border crossing earlier Monday.
The Israeli military maintained on Monday that Zeiter, a Palestinian- Jordanian who lived in Nablus until 2011, had attacked a soldier and attempted to grab his rifle, an account that Jordanian officials and even some in Israel were finding difficult to swallow, the newspaper added.
News of the death sparked angry protests outside the Israeli Embassy in Amman, where about 200 people called for the expulsion of the ambassador and the cancellation of the Israeli-Jordanian peace treaty.
