AMMONNEWS - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mishal Mohammed Zabin on Wednesday began an official visit to the United States, during which he will lead the Jordanian military delegation at meetings to discuss bilateral military cooperation.
The army chief's meetings will cover joint military coordination efforts, training and exercises, as well as Jordanian-American ties.
The Army Chief will also meet a number of American military officials and leaders as he will hold talks with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army Raymond Odierno and Commander of the National Guard Frank Grass.
Zabin will also meet with U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Derek Chollet, on the sidelines of the closing session of the joint meetings.
