Jordan denies training Syrian opposition on its territories
AMMONNEWS - Jordanian Interior Minister Hussein Al-Majali Saturday denied reports that his country was training Syrian opposition personnel on its territories.
'If everything being said is true, then the Syrian government would have informed us about it,' Al-Majali told a news conference held on the sidelines of the delivery of Saudi aid for the Syrian people and the Jordanian society.
Jordan, he affirmed, was combating all kinds of trafficking from the northern borders with Syria, 'which is an evidence that these reports of training and arming the opposition are not true.' He called on the international community to help Jordan overcome the difficult economic conditions caused by the Syrian crisis.
