AMMONNEWS - The Anti-Narcotics Department announced that its cadres arrested 22 people on charges of drug dealing in a number of governorates throughout the kingdom.
The Public Security Department (PSD) said that the Anti-Drug cadres monitored the individuals, and arrested the 22 suspects after nearly two weeks of surveillance.
A statement by the PSD Press office said that the security campaign also led to the seizure of over 17,000 narcotic pills and over 2 kilograms of Hashish that was packaged and ready for distribution.
The suspects were referred to the State Security Court, which has jurisdiction to try cases related to drugs.
PSD urged citizens to remain vigilant in their communities and report to police any information about individuals attempting to sell and distribute illegal drugs.
