AMMAN (Petra) – His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Monday paid a visit to the Gendarmerie Department where he discussed with its Director Brigadier General Ahmad Ali Alsweilmeen, a number of issues of concern to the gendarmerie forces.
The King expressed appreciation and pride in the members of the gendarmerie who perform their duties efficiently to preserve the achievements made by the country, stressing the importance of safeguarding human rights and citizens' dignity.
The gendarmerie director said the department is continuing the process of development and modernization to enhance its ability to shoulder security and humanitarian responsibilities and perform its duties in a competent manner in cooperation with other security departments.
