AMMONNEWS - Minister of Education Mohammad Al-Wahsh held a press conference on Thursday night announcing the results of the 2013 Summer Tawjihi session, noting that 142,719 students sat for the exams.
The minister noted that 100,121 students enrolled in regular admission sat for the exam, with an aggregate passing rate of 56.3 percent.
The passing rate for the comprehensive academic track reached 56.3 percent, with 69.6 percent of students in the scientific track passing, and 32.8 percent of students in the literary track passing the exams.
25.5 percent of students in the Shari'a (Islamic studies) track passed, 60.6 percent in the IT field, 57.0 percent of students passed who were enrolled in the health educational track.
In the vocational track of Tawjihi exams, 12,613 students sat for the exams, 45.2 percent of which passed the exams, including 58.5 percent in the industrial track, 28.1 in the agricultural track, 21.7 in the hotel and hospitality track, 31.2 in home educational track.
It is noted that the highest three grades in the scientific, literary, IT, and health tracks were scored by female students.
The highest grades in the scientific track was earned by Dana Baghdadi (99.7 percent), followed by Ruba Ghalayini (99.6), and Sophia Haddadin (99.6).
In the literary track, the highest grades were earned by Nur Abu Hamdeh (98.9 percent), followed by Rahaf Shneikat (98.6 percent), and Muna Abdullah (98.5).
In the IT track, Sura al Nahar scored the highest grade, earning (99.2 percent), followed by Sara Jamal Naeem (99.1 percent), and Haya Issa Haydar Murad (98.8), and Aseel Shehadeh (98.8 percent).
In the Health Track, Khawla Abdul Razzaq scored the highest grade, earning (97.8 percent), followed by Ru'a al-Waked (96.8), and Malak Malahmeh (96.1 percent).
