Ghanaian striker Edward Afum jets off Jordanian career with Super Cup strike
Ghanaian striker Edward Afum crowned his debut for Jordanian League champions Shabab Al Ordon with a goal as they defeated That Ras 2-0 to lift the Jordanian Super Cup on Friday.
The 23-year-old completed his switch to the club as a free agent after terminating his contract with Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak in the middle of the Ghana Premier League season and immediately got off to work.
Al Ordon manager Florin Motroc started the former Asante Kotoko goal-poacher from the bench and introduced him just 30 minutes to full and he made impact.
His superb positioning allowed him to collect a short pass from midfielder Anas Al Jabarat and he finished with the finest accuracy from close range to seal the win at the Amman International Stadium.
“I feel extremely happy to score on my debut as I came here to score goals,” he told Ghanasoccernet.com.
