AMMONNEWS - Divers from the Civil Defense Department (CDD) on Wednesday retrieved the body of a man who drowned in the Mujib Dam on Friday.
CDD said that the man, Muhammad al-Baz, went missing on Friday while fishing in the Mujib Dam, south of Amman.
Al-Baz was presumed to have drowned after emergency cadres and divers conducted a 6-day intensive search for the man.
The geographic and topographic nature of the area complicated the search for the man's body, CDD had said earlier.
The CDD cadres, with support from the Royal Navy Forces retrieved the body, which was transferred to Al-Nadim state-run hospital in Madaba.
