Haddad presents credentials as ambassador to the Philippines
MANILA (Petra) - Jordan Ambassador to Japan, Demiye Haddad, has presented his credentials to President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III, as a non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom in Manila.
Haddad discussed with the Philippine president ways to enhance bilateral ties in various domains.
The ambassador also met with the Secretary of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, Albert del Rosario, and discussed with him a number of issues, namely Jordanian prisoners in the East Asian nation and Jordanian journalist, head of Al-Arabiya channel office Bakir al-Etani, who has been abducted by Abu Sayyaf group since a year. The minister made a number of suggestions regarding Jordanian prisoners, stressing that his government would pursue the release of Al-Etani.
