AMMAN (Petra) Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Amin Mahmoud, on Monday discussed with his Turkish counterpart, Nabi Avci, aspects of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education and the development of universities.
Mahmoud called on the Turkish minister to increase the proportion of scholarships and grants offered by the Turkish government for Jordanian students.
The two sides agreed in principle to establish a joint Jordanian-Turkish University to teach students from the two countries.
The Turkish minister stressed Jordanian-Turkish relations and said the two countries maintain good economic ties, social, and political ties.
