AMMONNEWS - The Public Prosecutor in Amman issued arrest warrants against six candidates who ran in the parliamentary elections yesterday related to allegations of violating the 2012 Elections Law.
Ammon News learned that the judge issued arrest warrants for at least six candidates, and a judicial source added that two of the were issued against two candidates shortly before the end of business hours on Thursday.
Two of the candidates facing court orders ran their campaigns in Amman's first and second districts, and four other warrants were issued against candidates running in Amman's third district.
One of the candidates wanted for questioning by the court had won a seat in the parliament, based on preliminary election results.
