AMMAN (Petra)--Labour Minister Nidal Qatamin on Wednesday discussed with the US Ambassador to Jordan Stuart Jones, labour cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador hailed efforts of the ministry which has culminated in the launch the National Employment Campaign, that aims at providing 18,000 job opportunities in 120 institutions.
The minister reviewed steps that were taken to implement the campaign in cooperation with private sector institutions.
He also highlighted the need to boost cooperation between the public and private sectors to address the problems of poverty and unemployment.
The ambassador thanked the Jordanian government for its efforts to address problems facing domestic helpers in the Kingdom.
