AMMONNEWS - The Public Statistics Department removed a protest tent on Tuesday night that had been erected by protesting employees who are on a general strike.
Protesting employees announced holding a protest in front of the Prime Ministry on Wednesday against what they considered 'state thuggery' method of dealing with striking employees.
The protesting employees accused Department Director Fathi Ensour of 'forcefully' removing the protest tent, a matter not denied by the Statistics department head.
Ensour replied in statements to Ammon News Wednesday morning stating that he 'bears the responsibility of removing the tent,' citing that the tent was erected on government department property.
'We are a state, and we are still strong,' Ensour stressed in response to allegations by the protesting employees.
