NFR to hold Mass 'Popular Uprising for Reform' Rally on Friday
AMMONNEWS - The National Front for Reform (NFR) on Wednesday announced that they will march from four different mosques to gather nearby the Interior Ministry circle (Jamal Abdul Nasser intersection) in Amman in protest of the government's economic policies.
NFR, a coalition of pro-reform movements headed by ex-Prime Minister Ahmad Obeidat, who indicated during a press conference on Wednesday that their target is not Jamal Abdul Nasser intersection, but rather to send a message to the government of their rejection of its policies.
He called for the release of political detainees, ousting Abdullah Ensour government, forming a salvation government, and called on Jordanians to form a national dialogue and support protests against price hikes and endemic corruption.
The major demonstration under the banner of 'Popular Uprising for Reform' on Friday, November 30, 2012, to be held in the area between Firas Circle in Jabal al-Hussein and the Interior Ministry circle (Jamal Abdul Nasser intersection) in Amman, Obidat added.
